hey, i still have this thing. that's pretty cool.

yeah, the past few weeks of school have been the same old stuff i've come to expect of this place. it was pretty great to go home and spend some time relaxing, but now it's time to kill off the next 5 weeks so i can get on with my life. 5 years was more than enough time to be here, and i can't wait to actually start doing things that i WANT to do again.

i like this 6-hour-a-week job.

my parents are coming to visit in a week. exciting. i love LOVE having visitors and it will be nice to see them.

wish me luck on the immunology exam.. it really might kill me.

so it's week 4 and i'm still tired of school. 26 more to go until... FREEDOM.

friday i got to see my lovely undergrad-years girls. it was nice to see them. i got stuff for the apartment and spent way too much on dinner. good times. bridal shower was fun. seeing nikki was nice. i didn't realize it had been so long.. probably like 3+ years since i saw her last.

pennsylvania football was not so good. you both need to shape up.

in other news, i want big shiny jewelry, a nice dress, a big party, and lots of people to visit me. not a wedding, just all the good stuff that comes along with it. everyone else is doing it.

and i want pnc to figure out whatever their issue is and stop sucking <3

so it's the weekend. i am studying immunology, working on a presentation, blah blah blah it's boring.. you really don't want to read about that.

i am excited for joanna's bridal shower.. i really hope it's lots of fun for her.

and also, i'm bored with school. it's been 2 weeks. i want my life back. i want to do all the nice things that the other kids get to do. don't get me wrong, i have it pretty good. i have all the things that i need and i don't really have to worry about anything major for the most part. but it's not at all where i want to be. i just want to move on.

back to school.

i'm glad it's my last year of regular classes. i think that simple fact makes everything so much more tolerable. i don't mind burning myself out, as long as i know it's the last time i'll have to do it.

i have been pretty busy this week, between taking care of the normal life things that come up (loans, parking pass, applying for a job, catching up with everyone) and school (reading 100 pages in immunology in 2 days). i actually haven't been minding it.

i feel like i'm starting to get to the next part of my life. it gets better after this semester. i can get a nicer place to live out here in the spring, get a little bit better car, maybe even a furry little friend. i can start rotations 8 or 12 months from now. then ~hopefully~ on to a residency.

overall, i can't complain much. life is pretty good out here, and it seems like i have a lot to look forward to.

sooo.. i see my last entry was april 20.

i guess i have been much more busy with the summer stuff lately. much more doing and less moping than during the school year. lots has been going on.. work is good, matt is wonderful, and there seem to be lots of happy occasions going on. everyone who picked a nice normal degree is graduating, which is pretty exciting.

joanna is getting her wedding stuff together (i need to email you!) which is also really cool. and it turns out chris p. is getting married too, in like a week or so. there was a nice camp-style showerbration (haha fun)a little while ago, and it was really nice to be able to wish them well in person and of course too see everyone who was there. it really wasn't all that long ago that camp was home to me. and i miss everyone.. i guess it would be naive to think that i could stay so close to all of the awesome friends i made over the years.. it was just nice to have them as family for a while.

in other news, i am just waking up and going to work 40 hours a week and trying to find someone let me volunteer for them.

i am clingy and jealous, and that's just how i am. i can't believe it's june. slow down.
